My name is Sharon Blijd. I am an open, cheerful, warm, colorful woman, hospitable (which I have learned from my mother and a music lover (which I inherited from my father), who enjoys to visit concerts and likes to dance.
I was born and raised in the Netherlands and am a Surinamese descent. I am married and am the mother of two teenagers. Although I am not a morning person, I really enjoy walking in the morning.
In the summer you can find me on a terrace with a glass of wine and in the winter I like to watch movies and play games with my family and friends.
For years I have worked in Youthcare. I am a qualified coach. Within Youth Care I have gained experience in working with clients from various backgrounds. About five years ago I started my company, Ibalansz, because I want to help people like you improve your relationship.
I am an advanced EFT therapist (Emotionally Focussed Therapy), EFIT-therapeut (Emotionally Focussed Individual Therapy) and have completed the transcultural systemic therapy training. I work from my Christian philosophy. My faith helps me to look at (seemingly) complex situations in relationships with an optimistic view.
Through supervision, intervision and following relevant courses and training, I stay up to date in terms of knowledge. I am always learning from my colleagues and reflect on my way of working, so that I can become a better therapist.
